Both the WN and AS school curricula are based on the Basic Education Core Curriculum.
There are five key competencies that students are expected to acquire across subjects.

- Problem-solving capacity
- Capacity for applying life skills
- Capacity for technological application
English Learning Standards for Schools in Thailand
First, the English curriculum in Thailand has strands or four major areas: Language for communication, language and culture, language and relationship with other learning areas, language and relationships with the communities. Each grade in Thailand has standards. There are indicators for each standard. The indicators show the types of tasks that students must be able to perform to show that they have met the standard.

1. Students are able to use foreign language for purposes of communication, effective learning and application in daily life.
2. Students are able to use foreign language to seek knowledge and experiences from various sources of data and information in order to acquire knowledge and engage in processes of analytical, critical and creative thinking, so as to be attuned to social change and scientific and technological progress.
3. Students are able to apply foreign language for working in real life or study.
